Naim Ateek in Birmingham, Alabama

(Birmingham, AL 7/12/01) Rev. Naim Ateek, Founder-President of Jerusalem based Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center, during his second presentation at the Episcopal Cathedral Church of the Advent. He also spoke at a breakfast hosted by the local Muslim community. The theme of his two day stay in Birmingham (July 10th and 11th) was, "A Palestinian peacemaker's perspective on the uprising in the West Bank, Gaza, and in Jerusalem." He also was interviewed by the editorial boards of the city's two daily newspapers.
