"I tell you, if these walls were silent, the stones would shout out." (Luke 19:40)

Stolen childhood!

Palestinian children are the most tragic victims of the Israeli occupation; subjected to traumatic incident both physically and mentally on a daily basis and Christine George Sa’adeh is no different.

Christine was a 12-year-old Palestinian girl studying at St. Joseph school in Bethlehem .  She was tragically killed March 25, 2003 when Israeli Special Forces intensively opened fire on her family's car travelling on a main road in Bethlehem 's city center.  Christine died from her wounds on the way to the hospital.  Her Father George, headmaster of the Greek Orthodox School , who was driving the car, was critically injured from a round to his head.  Her mother Najwa, in the passenger seat, and 14-year-old sister Marianne, sitting next to her sister, were also injured and remain in hospital.

Christine was a Palestinian child who got her childhood stolen from her. An innocent victim of Israeli aggression.  She will no longer be able to play with her sister and friends or attend school with them. No longer able to play the piano or go swimming.  For Christine's parents and friends time stood still in the their hearts on March 25th.

In other news, in Jenin the same day, one child, Mahmoud Nassar 13, was killed and another child, Boubani Ighbariya 12, was seriously wounded by Israeli Tank Shells while throwing stones at the tank.

As the scenes of killings and devastation from Iraq are on television, we keep on burying our children.  When will this end?
